Wiring perception and movement - Brain Awareness Week

  • St. Francis College 180 Remsen Street Brooklyn, NY, 11201 United States (map)

Art in the Lab is delighted to partner with the Dana Foundation's Brain Awareness Week for a Neuroscience themed drawing event.   RSVP

Come explore the structure of the brain using St. Francis College's extensive collection of teaching slides and models, as well as measure your own nervous system at work via EMG recording. Together we will use these measurements to create a collective drawing. As always, basic art supplies are provided, but feel free to bring your own.

We are also happy to celebrate our fifth year of programming with an exhibition highlighting work created at and inspired by art in the lab events, as well other explorations connecting art with science. This show will be on view for the month of March at St. Francis College's main exhibition space - the Callahan Center Gallery.

Free but RSVP required so we can save a space at the microscope.

Art in the Lab’s 2020 focus is structure/material/form. Biodesign interested? Please come say hello.
